God's Divine Unchanging Love

By Dionne Sabbay Thompson June 14th 2009

The Great Controversy is a serious and deep issue involving the conflicting principles of God and Satan soon to be impacting on the Great Time of Trouble ahead (Daniel 12:1). From the beginning of the great controversy in Heaven, Satan has been opposed to the righteousness of God, which is the Most High's love in action (Philippians 3:9-11, 1Corinthians 1:30). Thus we can surmise that from the beginning of the Great war in heaven, Satan attempted to overthrow God’s law of unselfish love, a transcript of the Ten Commandments, the Decalogue (Exodus 20, 1John 4:8,16, Revelations 12). God’s law of unselfish love is expressed in the Moral law of the Ten Commandments, but it is supremely revealed in the life and sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua, while here on this earth.

When we look at the life and death of Jesus Christ, Yeshua, we witness that He came to fully reveal His Father’s character. Unmistakingly, Christ’s character is a transcript of benign love (Exodus 20). Conversely, Satan’s character is one of malignant, selfish hatred (John 8:44, Revelation 12:9). The Son of God created the angels and all that was within Eden the Garden, including Lucifer (John 1:3). Purposefully, Christ was sent to the earth to reconcile fallen man; sent to expose Satan as a murderer and liar from the beginning. Although, Satan with his crafty deceptions has attempted to attribute death and killing to God, it has been Satan and his selfish, self-exalting government of sin that is responsible for murder and death. God’s government of benign love is completely flawless as it manifests the Spirit of of Beneficence” (Romans 5:5, Steps to Christ page 77 -80, Desire of Ages page 21).

Revelation 17:10 reveals a forthcoming event where the Powers of False Protestantism will conjoin with Papal Powers, reunifying Church and State, controlling the populace, enforcing transgression of the Fourth Commandment, imposing civil penalties on those refuting the false idolatrous Sabbath [Sunday] (Revelation 13:11-18). Such a satanic death degree will manifest as Enforced National Sunday Law, the Mark of the Beast (Revelations 13:11-18, Great Controversy pages 604-607). Sadly, the majority of the earth's populace will follow this Babylonian trend. The transgression of God’s law, containing His Sanctified Seventh-day Sabbath is never the solution to earth’s sin problem (Exodus 20, 1 John 3:4). Christ is the solution to our every problem, as He is the righteousness of God, providing us with a free gift of righteousness, lovingly imputed to all mankind (Philippians 3:9, 1Corinthians 1:30). Mankind must thus receive this free gift imparted, filled with Divine Righteousness, reconciling us to God. Thus being led by the Spirit, we must surrender to Him, being filled with the streams of Beneficence.

Revelation 17’s global confederacy will reveal a war between Satan and God. Factually, when Satan attacks God’s people, He is attacking Christ similar to a time in history when Satan evidenced his character plagued with murderous cruelty at Calvary. However, Victoriously, the Messiah tasted the second death for all that choose to be under the control of the Great Redeemer. In the final conflict the world will be united in warfare against the Lamb, the end time False Protestants/Christians shall make war with this Lamb fueled by Satan, the Great Dragon, and Deceiver (Revelation 12:9, 17:14). Satan uses compulsive war and weapons as evidenced in the middle ages when Christians were burnt at the stake and fed to lions (Revelation 12:17).

God’s love can not fail, thus we must allow His love to put righteousness in our hearts, causing us to surrender and obey God’s Ten Commandments. Securing our eternal life in Christ, we must understand that love suffers long and may be crucified as we saw Christ provide His everlasting love to His saints, providing a new resurrected body, as perfect love can not be defeated, and death has no power over God’s unchanging love (Galatians 2:20). Contrary to the principles of Satan, Christ’s perfect love does not use carnal weapons (1John 4:8, 16, 19). By example, Christ’s love bore sin for all humanity, without retaliation (Galatians 4:4). God’s love suffers long and is indestructible. Answering Satan’s cruelty, our Messiah responded with love, kindness and righteousness, empowered by the Godhead's “Circuit of Beneficence” (Steps to Christ page 77-80, Desire of Ages page 21). While on earth, Christ was truly tempted, yet His full submission to God the Father empowered His victory over sin, preserving Him blameless and faultless (1Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 4:15, Jude 1:24-25). Christ’s horrific death evidenced that God’s love and law can protect us from the threat of sin and the mystery of iniquity, even under the greatest pressure. Enduring the cruelty at Calvary, Christ remained sinless, later being resurrected, covered by the Father’s perfect undying love. Similarly, the grave will have no power over those who are sealed and clothed with the righteousness of Christ (Ephesians 4:30, 1Corinthians 15:50-52, 1Thessalonians 4:16-18, Revelation 7:1-4, 14:1-5).

Fully revealing the Father’s character and government of righteousness and truth, Christ fully exposed Satan as a liar and murderer (John 8:44). Satan will utilize technology, power, cruelty and hatred to test God’s people in the end time, disguised as a Church/State union however, the Lamb shall overcome those that oppose His people (Revelation 17:14). 1John 4:16 beseeches us to know God’s love, as hatred and cruelty is not a manifestation of Christ’s character. We must choose God’s government of eternal life and love, separating us from Satan, the source of death; as the wages of sin produces death (Romans 6:23, James 1:15). Here is our love made perfect, as Christ entered the world, evidencing perfect love, empowering humanity with His righteousness, teaching all to deny themselves, living lives of humility and service for others, under the control of God’s love.
